History of the telephone

In June 1878 Alexander Graham Bell was able to demonstrate the first practical telephone. Mobile phone have exited since the 1950s. The first mobile phone in Norway was installed in 1966, yet it was it was not until the GSM net (global system for mobile communication net) came in 1993 that mobile phones became affordable accessible for the general public.

Why are mobile phones useful/importante to us?

- communication, for example at work
- in amergency
- keeping in touch with relatives/friends in other countries or at home
- chatting with friends
- ordering pizza etc.



Advancements in technology

Advancement in technology means that mobile phones are constantly changing.


Examples:

- its now possible to send e-mails by phone
- most modern phone have Wi-Fi connection (wireless connections)
- modern phone are slimmer and lighter
- touch screen control
- more environmentally friendly
- 3G (third generation) camera mobile allow sender and receiver to see each other on screen


Disadvantages
American scientists prefer to limit their use of mobile phones to no more than 30 minutes per day. A recent German study shows that radiation from mobile phone can lead to genetical damage and can also lead brain tumors and eye canser.

their is also another bad news, they now say that new mobile phones can't withstand so much cold as the old ones.

you can now recycle your mobile phones, discarded mobile phones can cause damage to the environment.
